Flashback to the early 2010s when I occasionally hosted retro movie nights for friends – ‘now showing’ poster included. 😁
This reminds me, of course, that Netflix hadn’t yet launched in Australia to kick off the streaming era. It first arrived in 2015, and up to then, the only choice was linear TV or ‘cable’. The latter was really just Foxtel, as it was quite a monopoly in the end.
Incredibly, Foxtel still exists, although I’m not sure I know anybody that has it…
